چکیده

This paper proposes conditions on input-output stability of discrete-time reset systems by using some key dissipativity properties. In the continuoustime setting, dissipativity of the base linear system is preserved under reset actions if the storage function is decreasing at reset times. Indeed, when the reset system is full reset, the dissipativity of the base linear system ensures the dissipativity of the reset system. However, in the discrete-time setting, this condition on the storage function is not enough to ensure the dissipativity of the base linear system. We define some dissipativity properties of discretetime reset systems and give an appropriate definition of the reset system in order to preserve the (Q, S,R)−dissipativity of the base linear system under reset actions. As a result, l2-stability of feedback interconnected dissipative control reset systems is obtained.

A Novel Approach to Designing of Chattering-Free Sliding-Mode Control in Second-Order Discrete-Time Systems

In this paper, a chattering-free sliding-mode control is mainly proposed in a second-order discrete-time system. For achieving this purpose, firstly, a suitable control law would be derived by using the discrete-time Lyapunov stability theory and the sliding-mode concept. Then the input constraint is taken into account as a saturation function in the proposed control law. In order to guarantee ...

Robust Dissipativity for Uncertain Impulsive Dynamical Systems

In many engineering problems, stability issues are often linked to the theory of dissipative systems which postulates that the energy dissipated inside a dynamical system is less than the energy supplied from an external source. In the literature of nonlinear control, dissipativity concept was initially introduced by Willems in his seminal two-part papers [14, 15] in terms of an inequality invo...

Local Feedback Dissipativity and Dissipativity-based Stabilization of Nonlinear Discrete-time Systems

This paper is endeavoured to the problem of local feedback dissipativity and the use of feedback dissipativity for stabilization purposes in the nonlinear discretetime setting. Sufficient conditions under which a class of non-affine discrete-time control systems can be rendered locally dissipative are derived. A methodology in order to render nonlinear single-input single-output discrete-time s...

NLq systems represent a large class of discrete time nonlinear dynamical systems in state space form that contain a number of q layers with alternating linear and nonlinear operators that satisfy a sector condition. Many problems arising in system, circuit and control theory and recurrent neural networks can be transformed into such NLq systems. Suucient conditions for global asymptotic stabili...

On relationships among passivity, positive realness, and dissipativity in linear systems

The notions of passivity and positive realness are fundamental concepts in classical control theory, but the use of the terms has varied. For LTI systems, these two concepts capture the same essential property of dynamical systems, that is, a system with this property does not generate its own energy but only stores and dissipates energy supplied by the environment. This paper summarizes the co...
